Superstorm Sandy devastated large areas of New York City, many of the city’s 1,700 schools suffered debilitating damage – from flooding, to plumbing problems, to severe structural damage.
The Fund for Public Schools is working closely with the New York City Department of Education to give students some semblance of normality by returning to their regular school day. Please join us to help our schools and our neighborhoods recover. Donations will provide critical resources such as books, school supplies, classroom furniture, warm clothing, and blankets so that students can safely return to their classrooms and continue to learn and grow.
Thank you for supporting our city’s public school students during this difficult time. For more information on the Fund for Public Schools and their Sandy relief efforts, visit http://www.fundforpublicschools.org/support-hurricane-relief.
Also, enjoy great happy hour specials at Lolita Bar: $3 drafts, $4 well drinks, and $5 margaritas and mojitos.
Please help us spread the word by forwarding this invitation to your friends and colleagues. We hope to see you there!
