YEP National Welcomes Jennifer Golden Communications Director
Young Education Professionals National Team is Growing! Meet Our Newest Team Member.
WASHINGTON, DC – We are pleased to announce that Jennifer Golden has joined the Young Education Professionals National team as our Communications Director.
Jennifer Golden began her teaching career through Teach For America at a high school in the Bronx after graduating from the University of Virginia. During her time as a teacher she taught Global History, U.S. History, and AP U.S. history in both a general education and integrated co-teaching setting. She also served as a Model Teacher on her school’s professional development team. As a Model Teacher Jennifer helped create and implement the school’s profession growth plan, as well as attend leadership training through the CUNY network and Department of Education. In addition, while teaching Jennifer completed a Master’s in Teaching Adolescent Social Studies from Fordham University and is currently working on a Master’s in Education Leadership, Policy, and Advocacy from New York University. From Jennifer: "I am excited to be joining the YEP National team. From my experience as a teacher and in graduate school, I recognize the importance of education and providing opportunity for our students. I am looking forward to collaborating with other educators across the country to learn about the different ways people are transforming schools and the classroom!" As we look forward to 2019, YEP National is looking to grow and our commitment to the storytelling of YEP is strengthened with the addition of Jennifer."
