The YEP National team exists to support and create a strong YEP chapter network across the United States. As with the leaders in all of YEP's chapters, the following people donate their time to make YEP a successful organization.
Serving on the YEP National leadership team is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience by leading and helping to grow a national organization. If you are looking to grow/extend a particular skill set or are considering starting/leading an organization, this opportunity is for you. For more about YEP, please see the About Us page. NOTE: Each chapter has its own leadership team. If you would like to help lead your local chapter, please contact the chapter directly.
We are looking for highly-motivated and highly-engaged individuals who are looking to grow their skill sets through the following roles. Applicants can be located anywhere in the contiguous United States. Selected individuals will be expected to serve, at a minimum, twelve months from their start date.

As a key member of the Young Education Professionals (YEP) National team, the Community Director will build and cultivate community across the YEP Chapter leaders and members. We are looking for someone who enjoys making connections with diverse groups of people and is energized by YEP’s mission to break down silos in the education space by fostering a sense of belonging and connectedness within the YEP community. The Community Director responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for creating a collaborative environment for YEP chapter leaders that ensures the exchange of ideas, best practices, and organizational support
- Plan and facilitate chapter collaboration, including monthly YEP Cross Collaboration Calls
- Lead cross-chapter national initiatives, such as the annual member survey and annual plan collection
- Maintain the YEP National resource collection (currently on Google Drive); work with the chapters to facilitate regular sharing of documentation and ideas with each other; ensure chapters are aware of all their available resources
- With Marketing Communications Director, facilitate internal information sharing between YEP National and the YEP chapters
- With Executive Director, evaluate strategy for tracking chapter membership (i.e., Salesforce) and outline pathways for successful tracking
- With Executive Director, manage the introduction of new chapters into the YEP network and annually surveying current chapter leaders
- With Marketing Communications Director, communicate with people who are interested in starting chapters
Experience/Skills/Abilities: Ideal to have at least 6 months experience as a YEP chapter leader
Time commitment: 10-20 hours per month (includes 2-hour monthly meeting), time commitment will likely vary over term
Location: Remote
Salary: Unpaid (YEP National is an entirely volunteer-run organization)

The Partnerships Director will play a central role in YEP National’s strategic planning by identifying and developing partnership opportunities with other organizations, providing support to local chapters as they do so, and supporting other directors in their work. The Partnerships Director responsibilities will include:
- Serve as primary point of contact for organizations seeking to partner with YEP National
- Form a deep understanding of our ecosystem, and identify what good channel and integration partners look like, as YEP National’s strategy dictates
- Create outbound strategies and marketing materials to attract new partners in collaboration with Marketing Communications Director
- Develop, monitor, and adjust the strategy, ideal partner profiles and engagement tactics to continuously improve results
- Work with chapters as needed to help in their partnership and gift development
- Identify potential funders for both general support and for support of specific activities/events (e.g., grants, major gifts, in-kind donations)
