Over the history of our Policy to Practice Conferences, over 1,000 young education professionals and more than 50 organizations have convened to engage across policy, practice, and research. This year’s conference will feature 3 unique tracks for each of those stakeholder groups, with accompanying breakout sessions designed to foster robust and directed discussions resulting in potential solutions, recommendations, and strategies for impacting change. Stay tuned for information on our 2018 Policy to Practice Conference.
There are a few different ways you can get involved: 1) as a participant, 2) as a conference volunteer, 3) as a facilitator, and/or 4) as a sponsor!
If you wish to attend as a participant register here, and you will be prompted to select a position/interest area in the ed space so you can be slated for one of our 3 tracks: policy, practice, or research.
If you are thinking of facilitating a session, start thinking about which content area your session would fall under: Leadership & Learning, Teaching & Leading for Equity, and Professional Development (descriptions of each can be found HERE).
For more information, reach out to Conference Chair, Paige del Rio, at [email protected].

Objective: As a young professional, it can be challenging to clarify your career goals and improve critical skills on your own. The goal of YEP’s mentorship program is to help early-career young education professionals working in the DC metro area to develop skills over the course of 6 months with the help of a mentor, in order to help tackle their areas of improvement and achieve their career dreams. Learn more about the program and be part of the 2018 cohort!
Program Overview
Program Length: 6 months- *3 Meetup Events (Req’d Attendance for all Mentees and Mentors)
